Ephemeral Here

Ephemeral Here
A lone liquid microcosm hops from one leaf to the next —
An understated prelude to the wonders that exist beneath the spherical facade of greens and yellows and soft white petals —
Elemental beckonings to explore beyond what’s known by humankind.
Star-studded invitations draw attention from far and wide, enthralling the regular nightfall party-goers:
Beetles on bar stools
Moths meandering — slightly bedazzled from mechanical streetlights —
A solitary cicada sharing their staccato sonance…
The midnight exhale caresses the flora and fauna;
An audible warmth to the stillness in the air
There is energy in this tranquillity
As humans sleep, nighttime wakes.
